What Is Padelyst? Live Scoring for Padel Nights and Leagues

Padelyst is a free padel scoring app for iPhone, Apple Watch and the web: run Americano, Mexicano and round robin nights with live standings everyone can follow.

What Is Padelyst? Live Scoring for Padel Nights and Leagues

Padel is the fastest-growing racket sport in the world, and most of the tooling around it still comes down to a spreadsheet, a group chat and somebody's memory of who won the third round. Padelyst replaces that with live scoring and a standings table that keeps itself honest.

What does Padelyst actually do?

Two things, and they meet in the middle.

The first is scoring a single match. You tap points on an Apple Watch, the score is readable at a glance in Always-On, and the match is saved to your history. Because scoring a padel match means standing on a court for an hour, the app records it as a real Apple Health workout with heart rate and active calories — the exercise you did shows up where you expect it.

The second is running a session for a group — a club night, a social, a work event. You pick a format, enter the players, and Padelyst builds the schedule, tracks every result and keeps a live standings table. Share the session URL and every phone at the venue shows the same numbers at the same time. No app install required for the people just watching.

Which formats does it run?

Four, covering the formats clubs actually use:

  • Americano — rotating partners, everyone plays with everyone, individual scoring. The default social format.
  • Mexicano — pairings rebuilt from the live standings each round, so the games tighten as the night goes on.
  • Round robin — every pair plays every other pair exactly once, with a fixed partner.
  • Club Round Robin — the same idea scaled across several courts for a full club night.

If you are not sure which fits your group, the format comparison puts them side by side, and how many players you need covers the court math for awkward group sizes.

Scoring is individual and cumulative in all of them, with two modes: fixed total, where every match sums to a set number (24 by default) so all courts finish together, and first to target, optionally win-by-two.

What about a full season?

Leagues run on top of the same scoring. Instead of one night, you get a multi-week season with a standings table that accumulates across fixtures — the thing clubs usually maintain by hand on a noticeboard or in a pinned message.

How much does it cost?

Scoring and sessions are free, and no account is required to run one. The iPhone and Apple Watch app is a free download. Clubs running ongoing leagues have paid plans, but everything is free during launch — see pricing for what that will look like later.

Where it goes next

Padelyst is built by people who play, and the roadmap comes mostly from club nights that did not go smoothly. We post updates here as new pieces ship — and if something about your format does not fit, that feedback is the most useful thing you can send us.

Common questions

What is Padelyst?

Padelyst is a padel scoring app for iPhone, Apple Watch and the web. It does two things: it scores a single match live from your wrist, and it runs a whole club night — Americano, Mexicano, round robin or Club Round Robin — with a schedule and a standings table that updates as results land. Sessions are shared by URL, so everyone on the court and on the sideline sees the same score without installing anything.

Is Padelyst free?

Yes. Scoring matches and running tournament sessions are free, and you do not need an account to start one — you create a session, share the link, and play. The iPhone and Apple Watch app is a free download on the App Store. Paid plans exist for clubs running ongoing leagues, but everything is free during launch.

Do I need to create an account to use Padelyst?

No. You can open the web tools, enter your players and start a scored session without signing up, and the share link works immediately for everyone else. Signing in is optional and does one specific thing: it links your devices to one account so your match history follows you from the Watch to the phone to the web.

Does Padelyst work on Apple Watch?

Yes, and the Watch is the point rather than an afterthought. You score each rally with a tap on your wrist, the score stays readable in Always-On, and the match records a proper Apple Health workout with heart rate and active calories — so the time you spend playing still counts toward your rings.
